Applications/Micro
Abrasive Blasting/Dental Applications
DENTAL APPLICATIONS
Comco manufactures a wide range of micro-abrasive blasting systems to
meet the specific needs of the dental industry:
- Deburring
Dental Implants
- Devesting Pressable Ceramics
- Surface Preparation of Metal Alloys prior to Opaquing
- Removal of Oxides from Surface of Porcelain Crowns
- Selecting Texturing of Dental Appliances
- Shaping Tooth Anatomy
Dental
Labs: Unlike the inefficient, diffused blast of venturi style
or 'pot' blasters, all Comco MicroBlasters are equipped with our
patented modulator system that ensures a well defined, consistent, and
sharply focused stream of abrasive delivered with every blast. The speed
and power of our MicroBlasters drastically reduce the time required for
all of your applications and the durability will keep your lab up and
running year after year.
Dental Implants: The different
surface finishes required on small dental implants presents a
manufacturing challenge that can be solved effectively through
micro-abrasive blasting. Microblasting can precisely target the threaded
portion of the implant where the surface needs to be roughened, without
affecting the surface finish of the apex.
