CO2 CLEANING SOLUTIONS

Liquid carbon dioxide is a pure, clean solvent that takes many films and oils into solution. Its near-zero viscosity penetrates the smallest crevices bringing cleaning power where it’s needed most. With our patented centrifugal shear process, contamination is rapidly stripped away. After a quick rinse with freshly distilled liquid CO2, your dry parts are ready to ship. They’re Clean…pure and simple.

Examples of CO2 cleaning applications are :

Thin Film Cleaning
Precision Cleaning
Bioburden Reduction
Surface Activation
Surface Modification
Outgassing
Extraction and Scouring
Microabrasive Finishing

Surface Prep for Bonding
Optoelectronic Devices
Quartz & Ceramic Substrates
Microelectronic Devices
Semiconductor Components
Precision Machined Assemblies

PowerSnoTM (Model PS-6000)

Now safely and completely clean delicate shapes and complex assemblies with tiny crystals of dry ice snow. Today you can remove thin hydrocarbon films, and submicron particles without residues from wipe or swabs. No water, no waste, no worries. Your parts are clean…pure and simple.

With a PowerSno™, liquid CO2 is transformed in an amazingly powerful cleaning agent. Delivered by a heated propellant, the SnoShear™ jet impacts stubborn particles with 100 times the force of a simple air blow-off gun. The dry ice snow particle “explodes” back into a gas upon impact, blowing dirt away. Or, when the cleansing stream blankets a thin film, it freezes it into a rapidly removed gel.

Patented Deflex technology allows independent adjustment of all three process keys: snow flow, thrust and temperature. Use larger, harder “snow balls” for heavy contaminants including flux residues or gently brush sub-micron particles from fragile items including hard drive components with a slower, warmer spray. Unlike crude expansion guns, you have total control of your process and your costs with a PowerSno™.

PowerSnoTM XP  Model PS-8000 Precision Spray Cleaning System (Model PS-8000)

The PowerSno™ XP efficiently purifies and condenses liquid CO2 in the same compact unit that generates the cleaning jet of carbon dioxide snow. PurCO2 puts high purity liquid CO2 right where you need it, at a price that’s comfortable.

CleanStation  Model CS6000 Precision CO2 Cleaning System

In this unique system you’ll enjoy a perfect cleaning environment in nearly any location. Whether in a classroom, laboratory or technical office, PurCO2’s proven benefits are instantly available. Just plug it in to create the perfect space for SnoShear™ cleaning where liquid CO2 is transformed into a powerful cleansing jet.

Now you’ll remove fingerprints, films, and submicron particles without residues from wipes or swabs. With the CleanStation™ your parts are Clean...pure and simple.

SNO-BOT WORKCELL SERIES

Now SnoShear™ cleaning and BlueFire™ CO2 plasma technology are combined in a large format surface prep system.  The SnoBot™ Workcell series can handle substrates or fixtures up to 24 inches square providing cleaning and surface modification like never before.  Within the interlocked and exhausted enclosure, parts are thoroughly scrubbed with pure snowballs to remove gross surface contamination.  Momentum transfer blasts particles away while the instantaneous solvent power of liquid CO2 creates quickly removed gels.  Then a powerful jet of BlueFire™ plasma breaks the bonds of tough organics like a jackhammer with a microscopic combination of UV light, ozone, oxygen radicals and heat. A final pass with CO2 snow blows sub-micron debris away.

Test results prove parts are hyper clean, better than dangerous solvents and without costly and time-consuming multiple processing stations.  Your parts are ready for wire bonding, gluing, imprinting, assembly or other secondary operations where reduced surface tension makes coatings flow rapidly and completely.

SNOW-BOT BENCHTOP RANGE

Flexible Automated Cleaning

SnoShear™ cleaning is an extremely rapid process. In a fraction of a second it removes thin films, fluxes and particles. It leaves no residue for it uses only clean, non-toxic carbon dioxide and no drying is required.

Its' 5mm circle of cleanliness is perfect for spot cleaning complex components or bonding pads on stuffed circuit cards. For larger areas this high efficiency plume can be sped at 300mm a second or even faster. Imagine pristine optics, crisp ceramic parts or sensitive assemblies quickly adding to your bottom line.
