STATIC CONTROL PRODUCTS

Eliminating static from materials and machines is necessary to prevent production problems that result from static build up.

Static control products are recommended for : Circuit Board Manufactures, Screen Printers, Graphic Artists, Lithographers and Plastic Fabricators.

How Problematic is Static?

Static electricity is recognized as the single, most common problem affecting a wide range of commercial business.

Since electricity is a part of all matter, static electricity, as a natural phenomenon, is present every day and

everywhere.

Most people only recognize static when it manifests itself in the form of a shock or spark. As an unseen, unfelt force

of varying intensity, it attracts and holds dirt, dust, bacteria and other airborne contaminants to all materials and

environmental surfaces. Static pulls articles out of register during manufacturing and printing processes, and it

causes articles or components to stick together causing jamming of machines and equipment.

Static can ignite combustible dust, vapors, solvents, and other materials causing fire and/or explosion. It can also

cause unprotected electronic instrumentation to perform erratically. Poor quality, waste, rejects, unscheduled

downtime, increased frequency of maintenance, loss of internal environmental control and increased costs are

some of the resulting problems.

Increasing humidity in an attempt to reduce static has even more adverse affects which cause additional problems.

Increased humidity only tends to reduce shock level, not eliminate the static problem. It intensifies moisture

absorbency in materials, promotes mold and mildew growth, and has harmful effects on respiratory systems.

ANTI-STATIC WIPERS 5.5 X 11 INCH

Prevent dust and static build-up in static-sensitive production environments. Great for small area use in the lab, cleanrooms, etc. Individually packaged 5-1/2" x 11" wipes are made with a specially blended solution of pure Staticide® concentrate, deionized water, and isopropyl alcohol to provide one-step cleaning and static control. Wipes are long-lasting, non-toxic and biodegradable. Dispenser box of 24 individually foil wrapped packages.

STATIC ELIMINATING TINSEL

Anti-Static Tinsel garland is precision-made of 100% copper to give you the finest low-cost eliminator available for low or occasional static electricity problems. Reliable, easy to install. Sold/36 ft coiled strand.

B610-014 STATIC:ANTI TINSEL 1 PC

ANTISTATIC ELASTIC STRING

Similar to Antistatic String [B610-100], this option offers the advantage of stretchability. Stretch it out of the way or snap it back into position…a great solution for applications requiring access to equipment for maintenance and web splices.

To install, simply ground string to the bare metal of the machine and drape the length across the surface to be neutralized. Adjust the distance from the charged sheet or web from direct contact to up to two inches away until you get the optimum static neutralization. Place string either under or over a web or sheet; can be used in multiple locations wherever static is a problem.

B610-101 ELASTIC:STATIC 72'ROLL

ANTISTATIC STRING

Sold in 72-foot rolls, this ionizing cord has conductive micro-fibers, which cause the static charge to ionize and flow to the ground, providing clean performance [no oxidation, copper contamination or scratching]; adaptable to irregular surfaces like the changing diameter of a winding roll.

B610-100 STRING: STATIC 72'ROLL

CARBON FIBER BRUSH STATIC ELIMINATING

Carbon Fiber Brushes are highly efficient static eliminators that can be used as contact or non-contact devices. Rigid treated aluminum housing with mounting holes at each end. Brush trim is 5/8". Sold by the inch.

B610-013 STATIC:CARBON FIBER IN

CLEANER HEAVY DUTY STATIC CLEANER

For commercial applications where machinery and processes generate static electricity. Use Heavy-Duty Static Killer on vacuum frames, printing and binding equipment, on anything where static electricity is objectionable or causes problems. Applications to a work station or machine will last for hours. Excellent to kill static charges on film by application to the non-emulsion side prior to cleaning. Apply as necessary, usually after 20 to 30 film cleanings. Packaged in 8 oz bottles, 25 bottles to a case.

B631-001 STATIC:STAT*KILLER 8OZ

PRINTERS STATIC KILLER

Use Screen Printer’s Static Killer to insure absolutely clean screens that will not attract dust or dirt. This heavy-duty Static Killer can also be used to eliminate static electricity on most plastics and substrates to be screened. Static Killer dries quickly and is greaseless. Excellent for cleaning regular films and printers' screen tints. Packaged in 8 oz bottles, 25 bottles to a case.

B631-002 STATIC:KILLER*SCRN 8OZ

GLASS CLEANER STATIC KILLER

Use on copy boards, lenses, darkroom and vacuum frames, stripping tables and glass print cylinders of diazo type. Insures optical clarity. Non-abrasive. Leaves no residue or streaks. The anti-static action keeps dust and dirt away from the cleaned surface eliminating pinholes on negatives, saving valuable opaquing time. Sold individually in 8 oz bottles.

B631-004 STATIC KILLER GLASS CLEANER

FILM CLEANER STATIC ELIMINATING

Completely safe for cleaning any film base or emulsion. Dries extremely fast, won't streak or leave a residue. Compatible with, and will not dissolve or remove, a water based opaque. One quick application and wipe removes dirt, grease, fingerprints and tape marks from expensive film. The anti-static action keeps dust and dirt away from the cleaned surface. Packaged in 8 oz bottles, 25 bottles to a case.

B631-005 STATIC: FILM STATIC CLEANER

IONIZING BRUSHES STATIC ELIMINATING

One quick, easy operation removes attracted particulate and neutralizes static electricity. Cleans negatives, transparencies, plates, and more for higher quality reproduction. Ionizing cartridge should be replaced annually. Available in 1" and 3" widths. Sold individually.

Custom Flex Circuit Abrader

We had an unusual request for blasting the back of flex circuits to improve the laser solderability of the parts. The backing was too reflective and meant that the laser welds were not always consistent. A custom machine was built to create a uniform area over the back of the area that is soldered. This means that the area would not reflect the laser and improve the efficiency of the weld.
