UV Process
Supply proudly offers the CON-TROL-CURE® Portable 2” UV
Curing System: a detached 2” curing lamp connected to
the power supply by a 6’ quick-disconnect power cable.
The system is designed for color matching, lab work,
in-house prototype work, on-site demonstrations, and as a
starter unit for those interested in learning more about
UV clear coating, adhesives, casting/potting, and
conformal coatings. It offers users the opportunity to
work on products via either hands-on production or R&D
on their own equipment. Results of tests can be
immediately translated to production system requirements.
This 110V unit delivers up to 200W/in of power over a
365nm broad band range. The 2” effective curing area
emits focused light for use with quick curing, and can be
positioned to emit defocused light for use with 3-D
objects. It can be handheld without the light shield for
scanning large areas. Important: The use of goggles is
recommended as a safety precaution.
Economical, compact, and easy to use, the Portable 2"
UV Curing System weighs 24.5 lbs (power supply: 17.5 lbs,
lamp: 7 lbs) and each component measures only 5.25" H
x 9.5" W x 5.25" D. The 110V unit delivers power
up to 200 WPI over a 365nm broadband range. The system
features a simple on/off switch. Custom extended power
cables are available by special order.
STANDARD FEATURES:
• 200W/in nominal output
• Handheld portability
• Compact design ideal for use within confined
environments
• Plugs into a standard 110V outlet

R&D, etc.
DEVELOPER
UNIT WITH 3 UV LAMPS

The new
CON-TROL-CURE® UV Developer’s Kit now features our
latest electronic power supply technology. The original
benchtop UV system that allowed its user to switch UV
wavelengths from job to job now provides stepless dimming
control and up to 1.8kW of lamp power! The kit’s 5”
wide effective curing area and internationally universal
power compatability make this system ideal for all
laboratory and small production applications.
Since many of today’s UV formulations demand specific UV
wavelengths for complete and efficient curing, it is
essential that a laboratory UV curing system have the
ability to deliver maximum UV energy in all popular
wavelengths: Mercury, Iron, and Gallium. Until the
developers kit introduction, there had not been an
economical UV curing unit available offering the ability
to cure using different UV wavelengths.
The new UV Developer’s Kit includes a universal
electronic power supply, a precise focus lamp housing with
quick change lamp holders and three 300wpi UV lamps
(Mercury, Iron, and Gallium). The universal electronic
power supply offers significant striking power and is
designed to drive any of the lamps with ease. The stepless
dimming control permits variable lamp intensity from 100%
down to 38% of lamp power. The single phase 90 - 305VAC,
47 - 63Hz operating range adds to its simplicity and makes
it ideal for field testing and demonstrations.
BENEFITS:
• Unit has adjustable energy output for precise and
repeatable results
• Lightweight system is portable for practical use in
the lab or in the field
• Quick change lampholders simplify lamp installation to
deliver desired peak wavelength from project to project
SPECIFICATIONS:
• Lamp kit: One each; Mercury, Iron, Gallium
• UV output: 125 to 300W/in (adjustable)
• Curing width: 5”
• Power requirement: single phase 90 - 305VAC
47 - 63Hz
• Lamp Housing: 13" x 5" x 6.50", 7 LB
• Power Supply: 14" x 8" x 8", 16.50 LB
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
Conveyor: To enhance performance and the repeatability of
testing, the UV Developer’s Kit can be supplied with a
benchtop conveyor system. The sturdy but lightweight
conveyor has a 4” wide belt that is speed adjustable
from 5-60 FPM.
Conveyor Specifications:
• Belt speed: 5-60 FPM (adjustable)
• Belt Type: UV specific-Teflon®-coated over fiberglass
Shuttered Lamp Housing: The standard, non-shuttered
lamp housing can be replaced with a shuttered lamp housing
for applications where the substrate may stop in front of
the lamp.
UV5"
AND UV10" 1600W CURING LAMPS

Producing
1600W of curing power from a standard 110V outlet, each
Con-Trol-Cure® UV5 and UV10 Curing System incorporates an
encased power supply and a fully focused Lighthouse
irradiator to deliver the required UV cure energy for a
variety of small area applications.
Incorporating a 3/4 reflector, dual end reflectors, plus
reflectors mounted inside the shutters (where applicable),
the Lighthouse produces 20% more cure energy than standard
reflector designs. With the addition of a v-shaped
reflector positioned directly above the lamp, energy is
redirected around the quartz tube and to the 3/4
reflector. Supported by a multi-rib network designed in
CAD with a Light Ray tracing tool to ensure proper focus,
the 3/4 reflector gathers all available energy and directs
it onto the substrate's surface for optimal performance.
Field evaluations have indicated 20% additional cure
energy is being received at the substrate surface as
compared to competitive systems.
By replacing the aluminum extrusion found in most UV lamp
housings with the multi-rib network, the Lighthouse's air
flow pattern permits unobstructed cooling throughout the
housing. The Lighthouse's innovative v-shaped reflector is
also supported in a manner to create an air channel along
the inside of the reflector. As the air is directed along
the reflector so as not to interfere with lamp
performance, overall efficiency is maintained. Fan-blown
air also flows along the outside of the reflector so both
sides are cooled simultaneously. In addition, since energy
which accumulates around the quartz tube turns into
unwanted infrared, the redirection of trapped energy by
the v-shaped reflector further dissipates heat within the
housing.
The Lighthouse's universal lamp holders feature a swivel
clamping system which accepts any lamp of any manufacture
- ceramic or metal end fitting. This system also permits
adjustment of lamp focus to ensure that any lamp can be
placed in exact focus for optimal performance.
The Lighthouse's side panels, which secure the housing's
reflector material in place, can be easily removed without
tools. This allows yellowed, scratched or damaged
reflector material to be removed and replaced in
approximately 5 minutes. This quick changeover system
minimizes downtime and encourages frequent replacement of
reflector material so lamp efficiency is optimized. By
maintaining optimum brilliance at all times, the operator
can maximize performance by directing maximum lamp energy
to the substrate surface.
