LED Cure-All. The patented (U.S. Patent No. 7,137,696
and with other patents pending) , innovative UV curing
system can be fabricated to fit your exact UV curing needs
and specifications. The varied configurations seen on the
left of this page were all custom designed based on
customers requests. This product is the first fully
customizable UV curing lamp system that is unlimited in
its scale and shape. This flexibility makes it a natural
solution for challenging UV curing environments.
  

This amazing
new lamp can simply perform in ways that current lamps
cannot. In order to truly maximize the potential of this
lamp technology, you need to forget all of your current
assumptions in regards to how UV curing works. This lamp
technology defies accepted UV curing limitations. It is
simply doing what it should not be allowed to do. It's
curing faster. Its power consumption is minimal. The
mechanism of cure is operating beyond current standards,
due to the fact that this lamp is 100% efficient.

A need was
identified to be able to accurately measure cure with UV
LED's. The question was, which wavelengths perform
better? We have defined performing better as curing
better. So, we developed a procedure using the TFC-9000
to quantitatively evaluate the curing of polymers with UV
LED's. This allows us to easily determine which LED
wavelength we should use in designing an LED curing system
for use with a specific polymer.
This recent test performed by the TFC-9000 clearly
demonstrated the effects of curing a UV curable coating
with different UV wavelengths. The same coating was cured
with 3 unique UV LED lamps and the resultant curves were
overlaid for evaluation. The TFC-9000s measured results
(in the graph above right) clearly show that while all 3
lamps cured the sample in approximately the same amount of
time, the UV LED lamp at 415nm cured the coating
significantly better than the other 2 UV LED wavelengths.
The best curing LED wavelength is identified as the curve
with the highest peak of heat. As well, we are also able
to measure the time to peak (which is the cure rate). This
allows us to determine the number of LEDs needed to
achieve the desired speed for each customers specific
process. In this test, to achieve the required cure rate
for the specified application line speed, a linear array
of 300 LEDs is needed.

The UV LED
SpotCure series units are truly unique instruments.
Battery operated in design, high density NiMH super-cells
keep the UV LED SpotCure units operating for many weeks
without any attention. A low battery indicator activates
about one week before recharging is needed. The 395nm
wavelength output provides tack-free curing in less than 5
seconds. The UV LED SpotCure units effectively cure most
acrylic based adhesives.
The UV LED SpotCure-P performs two useful functions for
the price of one! The outstanding dual capability provides
high intensity spot curing as well as 6000°K brilliant
white light for general inspection. This model features
both rechargeable battery operated and A/C adapter power
capability.
The UV LED SpotCure-C provides the same power and curing
efficiency as the UV LED SpotCure-P, but with the
flexibility of a cordless design. The UV LED SpotCure-C
only includes the UV curing probe, not the white light
probe included in the UV LED SpotCure-P. The UV LED
SpotCure-C ships complete with a rechargeable battery and
charger.

Tool for Matching Color and Coatings
The UV LED SpotCure-B is a bench top UV adhesive curing
light that employs the latest advanced LED technology to
produce high intensity UV light in the UV-A spectrum. This
curing light is as easy to use as a soldering station. A
"hands-free" sensor turns the light on and off
when the probe is removed and placed back into its holder.
The unit produces an audible signal at the end of each
selectable curing cycle. Curing cycles are selectable at
10, 20 and 40 seconds and a manual selection provides
continuous operation. The 395nm output is the optimum
wavelength needed to cure a wide range of UV adhesives to
a smooth, tack-free surface in less than 5 seconds. UV-A
light is safer than other UV radiation produced by other
types of UV lights currently available.

Designed for non-portable bench top operation, the
SpotCure-B incorporates advanced operator control of the
UV curing cycles. The curing probe itself is only
available in a straight stainless steel configuration
which positions the UV LED's at the front of the probe in
order to maximize the light intensity. The convenient
probe storage holder, on the top of the console, provides
a "soldering station" style of operation.
Activation of the curing cycle is automatic and commences
simply by picking up the probe. A unique IR sensor detects
the presence of the probe in the holder and controls the
on/off functioning.
Operational cycling for SpotCure-B is accomplished using
the front panel key pad. The light will automatically go
off at the end of the cycle. The "manual" is
used to keep the curing light ON continuously with an
audible tone every 10 seconds. In all modes, the light can
be turned off by simply replacing the probe back into the
holder.
