Frequently Asked Questions:

Ordering:

If you wish to place an order with us, please contact us letting us know which product you are interested in and the quantity required. If you are unsure of the best product for your application, let us know as much detail as possible and we will be able to narrow down options or find a solution for you.

Companies with an existing account can place orders by sending us written confirmation of an order (emailed, faxed or in the post). New customers or customers without accounts can send us an order for the goods and we will then send a proforma invoice.

For international companies we request payment is made by proforma invoice and paid directly into our bank account.

Pricing:

As the majority of our products come from the USA or Europe, we quote prices in the original currency excluding VAT. We are happy to provide pricing in £'s Sterling as well, just let us know when making your enquiry. These will be dependant on the exchange rate on the day. See below for more details.

VAT:

Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged on all supplies to customers in the UK at the rate current at the time of dispatch (currently 17.5%). For shipments to another EC member, VAT will not be charged, providing an EC VAT number is supplied by the consignee of the Goods. Supplies to a non EC member state will be zero rated for VAT purposes in accordance with Customs/Excise Notice 703.

Exchange Rates:

Because of continually fluctuating currency rate changes, we base any Sterling prices on a rate that is subject to change if the exchange rate is different when the goods are shipped and invoiced.

Accounts & Payment:

We offer 30 day from date of invoice account option for regular customers. For all new customers who wish to have an account with us, we ask that the first order is paid by proforma invoice after which, we will set up an account for future orders.

If the Customer fails to make payment by the due date then, without prejudice to any other right or remedy, Epak Electronics shall be entitled to: i) Cancel the order or suspend any further deliveries. ii) Charge an administration fee for any legal or other actions required to recover monies due.

Credit / Debit Cards:

We do not accept credit or debit cards for payment at present.

Quotes :

Prices quoted are valid for 30 days and exclude VAT. Delivery times listed are estimates.

Stock Availability:

Not all items listed on our website are available from stock from us and in particular, some of the larger machines and equipment are made to order. We do stock a wide range of the most commonly ordered parts and always try to have spares for commonly used parts for the machines.

The resistors and bonding tools are normally made to order to your exact needs such as size, tolerance and values etc. When lead time is critical, please advise us as suitable alternatives may be available on shorter lead times.

We always have a Powersno CO2 Cleaning system and the Comco abrasive blasters and standard cabinets in stock and on demonstration.

Shipping:

Times stated for delivery are estimates only. Epak Electronics Ltd will use every reasonable endeavor to meet delivery estimates but accepts no liability whatsoever for failure to deliver within the estimated delivery times.

Domestic shipping is usually next day delivery once items arrive from the supplier or if they are in stock.

For international orders, we ask that you provide us with details for your preferred carrier and your account number. In the event you do not have a courier or shipping company, please let us know when placing your enquiry and we can advise you of the cost when placing your order.

Cancellation

Cancellation of orders will only be accepted by prior agreement. All cancellations will be subject to a cancellation charge.
