MSMW SERIES MICROWAVE CHIP RESISTORS

Specially optimised for Microwave and RF (Radio Frequency) requirements, these MSMW Microwave resistors are typically used in applications including amplifiers, oscillators, attenuators, couplers, and filters up to 40 GHz. The WAMT and MSMW chip terminators are manufactured using MSI's tight process controls and materials to produce resistors with ultra-low parasitic capacitance and inductance. These designs were developed primarily for use in applications where the resistor terminator is placed in the same plane as the associated circuitry, thus reducing parasitic inductance and capacitance.

The MSMW Microwave Resistor series feature a resistance range of 2 Ω to 5kΩ (depending on size/type). Tight tolerance values are available down to ±1.0%. TCR values from ±25 ppm/°C to ±100 ppm/°C. These compact resistor chips provide a stray capacitance of less than 0.06pF using the alumina substrate and 0.02pF using the Quartz substrate material.

Available in sizes from from .020" x .016" x .010" to .150" x .085" x .010". A range of substrate / Resistive film options are available including Alumina / Tantalum, Alumina / Nichrome, Quartz Tantalum, Quartz / Nichrome, Polished / Tantalum, Polished Nichrome.

A range of options include gold backside, with solder bumps, ±100 ppm and with Lead-free Solder Bumps. Typical MOQ is 25 pieces.

Parts are manufactured using specialized laser trimming for optimal performance over operating frequency range that guarantee operation up to 40GHz. All MSMW parts can be Wire-Bonded, Ribbon-Bonded and offered with Solder Bumps.
