ACCESSORIES FOR
COMCO MICROBLASTER RANGE
Below are details of accessories
available for the Comco Microblaster, Directflo and Powerflo range.
Workstation / Cabinet Magnifier MB4320-1
Available for all the
micro-abrasive blaster cabinets or anywhere good visibility is needed is the MB4320-1 Magnifier. This allows you to see even the
smallest parts with ease. The magnifier window attaches directly to
the outside of the work station window with Velcro for easy removal.
It provides 2.4X magnification, with a large lens and a wide field
of focus, giving excellent visibility.
TouchstartTM Option (Factory Install only) Originally designed
for use in confined area's where using a footswitch was impractical, the TouchstartTM
handpiece allows easy switching of the abrasive and is ideal for remote or
difficult to reach areas.
Window Protection Shields.
A common complaint about blasting inside any workstation is the frosting on
the window caused by abrasive ricochet. For safety reasons only tempered
glass should be used in your workstation, but that makes it expensive to
replace. With our VisionPlus Window Shields you can protect a new window from
excessive abrasive damage for a fraction of the cost of a replacement window.
The shield adheres to the inside of the workstation window without the need
for glue or adhesives - installation is clean and easy. When abrasive
particles bounce back against the window, the shield absorbs the force of the
abrasive and protects the glass underneath from frosting. When the shield
begins to frost, you simply peel it off and install a new one. Available in
packs of 3 (WS2279-3) or 10 (WS2279-10).
Constant Bleed option (Factory Install only)
Consistent operation of the
MicroBlaster requires very clean, dry compressed air. This can be
easily achieved with the proper dryer installed on the air line. A more
difficult task is controlling the environment where the blasting occurs.
Often it can be very wet and dirty, as in the case of hypodermic needle
production facilities. To keep the contamination from clogging the
nozzles we have developed a Constant Air Bleed Option.
The constant air option
functions alternately with the pinch valve. When the machine is turned
on clean air immediately begins flowing to the nozzle. As soon as the
abrasive stream is activated the bleed turns off. The constant flow of
air out to the nozzle keeps contamination from plugging into the nozzle and
restricting the abrasive flow.
Blast Timer Option (Factory Install only)
Ring Nozzle
Wire Stripping Nozzle Ring (In Stock and on Demo - please contact for
details)
Nozzle Adaptor For Directflo / Powerflo. All the
standard microblaster nozzles can be used on the larger Directflo and
Powerflo models by use of the PF2044 adaptor.
Nozzle Splitters run two to four nozzles from a single blaster
(Directflo and Powerflo). Ideal for automation projects or specialist
applications where two or more blast nozzles are required.
Spares Kits & Commonly used parts. We offer full backup support and
advice for the whole Comco range of equipment, if you have a problem with
your blaster we can offer technical support, we hold most common spares in
stock and offer a repair/refurbishment service.
Media we supply a huge range of abrasive blast media for microblasting,
from sodium bicarbonate to walnut shell, plastic, glass bead, silicon carbide
and aluminium oxide is a wide range of sizes.
Nozzles.
A wide range of nozzle sizes and
configurations are available. The type of nozzle selected can vary on the
application, media, size of area that needs to be abraded etc. All nozzles
are fabricated from the hardest grade of long wearing tungsten carbide bonded
into aluminum holders. Most popular sizes are nearly always available from
stock. Also available from Comco are the SW
range of nozzles suitable for SWAM & Crystal mark abrasive blast
systems.
Tank Extenders. The powder capacity of a standard Microblaster Tank is
equivalent to 2 lb of aluminum oxide. Tank extenders are available that
double or tripple the powder capacity. Available for both the Microblaster
Range (Double : MB1456-1, MB1456-3 (ACME thread). Tripple : MB1456-4)
and the Directflo/Powerflo blasters.
High Pressure Models For
special applications, single and dual tank Microblasters are available in
High Pressure Models. The higher air pressure provides an increase in cutting
action, which enables the abrasive stream to penetrate thick compounds and
coating more efficiently.
Air Dryers. Vital for making sure your air is dry
when running compressed air for fine abrasive blasting. We offer the AD5100
range of desiccant charge air dryers or the AD5300 series for heavy duty or
long term use.
Dust Collectors. We provide a range of Dust Collection and Extraction
systems, primarily for use with the Comco Micro-abrasive blast systems we
supply, although, if you need any kind of fume or dust extraction, please
contact us.
Workstations. A good workstation is
essential for Microabrasive blasting to confine media dust for easy removal
by the dust collector and provide an illuminated work area. We offer a wide
range from small bench top sizes to large fully integrated cabinets and dust
collectors, custom sizes can also be configured.
